Is it wrong to want you even though you're not single any more, why didn't I take my chances its not like I hadn't had a chance before  
 
I known you for such a long time but believed we could only stay as mates, though we often went out together we never went on dates
 
But now you've found someone new and I'm feeling all alone, I find myself thinking about you all the time and looking at the pictures on my phone
 
Pictures of us having so many great memories my god we had some fantastic times, now I've realised I want you and am left writing tearful rhymes
 
I see your face on your social media you look like you're both so in love but we were perfect together we fitted like hand fits in a glove
 
Do I keep how I feel to myself and put it all down to a wicked act of fate, I don't want to upset you or ruin what you have, I guess I must just remain your mate
 
I'll pretend to like your social media posts I'll put a smiley face on them all the time and continue to hide how I feel and dream that you were really mine
