Delilah
Now strikes the hour
when mischief grows
and I deliver a whisper
before night’s decaying shadow.
Come into my garden of darkness
where secrets bloom.
Lose your way in my essence,
crawl into the womb.
Let my petals caress you
revealing my true intent.
Passion travels through you
without consent.
Just under the full moon’s
delicate shine
I take over your free will
and make you mine.

the wounds
you left behind
because I wear
long sleeves.

Once Bitten, Twice Shy
My phone rings
and it’s him.
Asking me
for a second chance.
So, I humor
the conversation,
only because
I miss the romance.
As I cry
he moves in
for the kill,
I’m caught
in his trance.
My eyes
start to form
into heart shapes
and I believe
at first glance.
I give way some,
showing up
and for a moment
we dance.
The record breaks.
Fool me once,
you’re a dick,
fool me twice,
I’m the dumbass
and that’s my stance.
and it’s him.

at night.

listened to her
until I got a good fright.
He grabbed my hair
from behind
and pulled me down
with force.

and covered my mouth
with no remorse.
With a knife in his hands
his words were
“I won’t hurt ya, if you play nice”.
With my life in my hands
my thoughts were

I closed my eyes
and stayed still

Remembering My Deepest Heartbreak
Always
remembering
to hold close
the lesson
learned.
Reflecting
on how intensely
I was burned
and understood
to focus
on healing.
I spent time
recovering
and tending
to skin peeling.
I kept the wounds
clean
Inevitably
scars formed
Tears streamed
down my face
as I quietly
reformed.
Patiently
I wait
for him and karma
to meet.
Something
he won't be able
to cheat.
