The Beauty of Iron Maxim #7
The Beauty of Iron is this:
It treats everyone equally
It cares nothing for outfit or experience
It says loudly,
"Welcome to your workout.
You're 4 steps ahead of those folks still
'finding the time' to walk thru the door."
Iron reminds you that:
Getting here was the hard part,
and once here,
You're now equal to everyone else in this room.

Okay, I’ve come back to these poems a few times….
I haven’t been to the gym or worked out for a while because I’ve had a number of surgeries, but there was a time that I worked out on the regular. It was when I felt most alive physical y.
There was also a time in my life when I would get there, sit in the parking lot and not even get out of the car.
