the only god

not a christian, not a jew
not a moslem or hindu
not a label, not a flag
what I believe is where I lag

behind the know-it-alls
mind's confined by rigid walls
of someone else's thoughts, ideas
living lives so full of fears

for me the Sun's the only god
warm and cuddly like a dog
devoted always it returns
giving all for which life yearns

on this tiny cosmic speck
which the labeled try to wreck
with their unyielding and closed minds
using books beyond the times

when they were still relevant,
human words not heaven sent
the truth of life is all around
letting go is how it's found

not a buddhist, not a jain
not a sikh, they're all the same
not a label, not a flag
