Ghost Trees

Graveyards
Lie together
Branch to branch
Decomposing
Feeding thousands
Within it's own eco system
Bulldozers
And cutting machines
Turning the rich woodland
Into wasteland
The earth churned up
Then squashed down
So underground inhabitants
Cannot breathe
They are now suffocating
Whilst the trees
Are sliced, and diced
The monsters
With big hungry fangs
Start the trees screaming
Muted by the murderers teeth
Chainsaws
Chewing away at the flesh
Woodpulp, no fiction
Sawdust restriction
All play a role
In this contradiction
The trees
Disembodied
Wander like ghosts
Await more teeth of grief
From the unwanted hosts
