Vulnerable
the current world
is a tough place
too much hate
i am vulnerable
and break easily
so many people
are insensitive to
needs of others
and some of us
are an easy prey
to the predators
who shatter us
when someone
harasses attacks
or critiques me i
break like glass
sometimes i wish
there was a sticker
on my face that says
fragile handle with care
is a tough place
too much hate
i am vulnerable
and break easily
so many people
are insensitive to
needs of others
and some of us
are an easy prey
to the predators
who shatter us
when someone
harasses attacks
or critiques me i
break like glass
sometimes i wish
there was a sticker
on my face that says
fragile handle with care

Cruel people have their own agendas because they are weak. It takes a strong person to admit they can be fragile.
Love your words, D.

I'm the same, sis. If someone cuts me in some way, it's days before I can even come out of hiding. I personally don't want a warning sign...monsters are drawn to that like magnets. I'd prefer repellent myself. I'll stand beside you & beat off any hater, sis. You are beauty personified 💖

We're so much alike, I knew it would hit you as hard as me. As for the warning sign: this write was inspired by "fragile, handle with care" so I couldn't leave it out.
Thanks heaps for your beautiful words, sweet sister 💖

Do not take anything personally because, if you do, you expose yourself to suffering for no reason. -dMR
Learning not to take things personally is a very difficult lesson to learn fraught with lots of pain; however, once we learn it, we begin to see through the facade of insult or attack to the source of the action - which is the pain of the one who is hurting's desire to hurt another, rather than heal, so they don't feel so alone. Hurt people hurt people.
From then on, we feel nothing but compassion in the face of such pain and willful ignorance.
I'm betting on you, your strength, your resolve, your open and honest vulnerability, to conquer this lesson beautifully. If you have not yet read don Miquel Ruiz's 'The Four Agreements' I would highly suggest it. It's not a very thick book and can be read in one setting.
Much love to you xo

I know it says more about the other than it says about me, but it still affects me more than it should. I'm learning to defend myself better - in baby steps. Thanks heaps for your extensive comment, for believing in me and the book tip. I looked it up, it sounds like a great book 💖

Dear D,
This poem made me stand at attention because you not only share your personal response to the behavior of others, you also make a true observation of the world at large. It is a sad and often times cruel place and I notice my own behavior towards it especially when I’m alone in my car cussing out another driver who annoyed me for whatever reason. This write made me take stock of my own negative thoughts. This piece also made me think how much worse does this planet have to get before anything changes? I could ramble on forever about this however, I think the sharing of fragility provided a lot of strength for me and I really appreciated that. Wonderfully written piece. H🌷

Dear H, the planet is indeed a cruel place and predatory and / or abusive behavior seems to have become the new normal. I'm afraid we have a long way to go before love rules, the least I could do is raise a little awareness.
Thanks heaps for your extensive and beautiful comment, I appreciate you 💖

Hello Duende,
While it was not anywhere in this poem what came to me were the words visible and invisible.
I guess it was also the image that set my mind going on how butterflies have short life spans
Though I have read some can become 6 months until almost one year.
I do agree there is much harshness, hatred and there are many things toxic. The only way is to stand ones ground.
Easier said than done thats right, Its the little small things that help me most such as just concentrating on one positive word, we have our beautiful wings that we hide and that we can use to fly with.
ps Beth Hart, gosh she is just one of those true singers who can reach you in your every fiber in just 30 seconds or so, have a good day
blessings
Rianne

Hello Rianne,
I can see why visible and invisible came to you, it strongly relates to the world we live in, where many feel invisible. And ergo with this write. It's true, we must stand our ground hard as it is at times. It's indeed the little things, the beautiful people that offer the much needed balance. Beth Hart, she's amazing. I've seen her many times live and I feel her music in my bones. Goosebumps, everytime I hear her.
Thanks heaps for your extensive comment and sharing your thoughts, I appreciate you 🙏🏻

Man is fragile from birth, a scientist says that,'' a drop of sweat can kill him ''.
it would be advisable to face one's fears and overcome bad situations, than stay aloof showing our vulnerability,
that wont heal.....
Friends are a way to overcome harsh plights and bad situations, count on !!!
Stay safe and happy. Hamid.
