Buds
The blood red vibrant buds on the trees ignite
in a chaotic emergence against the pale blue sky.
The infant spring sheen of the warm sun,
beckons my mind into a garden of oblivion.
Heavy thoughts are lost to the miniature whistles
of the happy house finch.
Breeze sweeps crumbs of dreams that were never clinched.
Penetrating the soul's rich soil
are fresh buds of ideas that have remained loyal.
Before blossoms burst, my black dirt voraciously thirsts.
And then joyous daffodils destroy winter's curse.
in a chaotic emergence against the pale blue sky.

Beautiful Debbie. Descriptive, optimistic with spring around the corner, the nature theme is tranquil & serene, the rhymes are great and your delivery is flawless.

Wow. That was way too kind, thank you
I'm happiest when I write about nature.
The things I described were all part of my day
Thx so much for your support

I love the songs of house finches, which I refer to as 'Canadian Canaries' ( I live in Canada)...they and so many other birds are back again, or passing through on their way north...spring is my favourite season, like Dr Who a total regeneration...good stuff.... Lawrence

Thank you, I have an app on my phone which identifies the chirping of birds.
I'm starting to learn the different bird's songs.
Canada must be stunning. My sister lives in Alaska, thought I died and went to heaven the first
time I flew over the Yukon territory in route to Alaska. Do you get red cardinals in Canada?

Daffodils are such cheerful flowers & the perfect end to long grey, cold days. Bring on spring!

Very deep and inspirational. You carry and weave a lot together in the direction of this. What stands out to me is that you don't lose your punch, but you gain more and more depth, as you go. That's the mark of someone that knows what they're doing. From beginning to end, this is solid conceptualization exemplified. Thanks for sharing!
