Polar Opposites
The mainstreams news — the NY Times, the Washington Post, USA Today, the New Yorker, the Atlantic, MSNBC, CNN, Fox, ABC, NBC, CBS — simply stopped reporting the news and repeated whatever the fascist Pharma state told them to say.
All knowledge production industries stopped producing knowledge and fell in line to produce fascism, misery, and death to enrich the ruling class. It is as if the Enlightenment and the revolutions (scientific, political, and social) of the last two hundred and fifty years never happened.
The political left became the authoritarian right as they abandoned “my body my choice” in favor of “the state owns your body and the air — shut up and obey.”
The political right ushered in the largest expansion of government power in human history and acted as if state control of the economy is what they always believed.
The entire social environment switched to its polar opposite.

I watch PBS News Hour at 7pm EST.
It's the best and mostly unbiased news show on TV I believe. I especially like their in depth news stories sometimes going 7 minutes or so. Better than the other networks who do cookie cutter 3 minute stories. I worked at CBS-TV for 23 news.
Not in the news division but in a related department. I took a leak next to Bob Schieffer once. He was my kind of correspondent. Andy Rooney was a cool guy. He made everyone laugh in the cafeteria when on line with the rest of us.
Got a chance to talk Watergate theories with Dan Rather once. He was gracious and interested. That was a good moment.
I always thought CBS News was the pinnacle of Network News back in my days there. 60 Minutes is still a great program in my opinion. But with the Networks and everyone else craving eyeballs,I no longer have a high opinion of Television news. I do watch Meet the Press on Sunday mornings.
You didn't ask for all this and I rarely talk about my time in broadcasting but your write brought it all back to me ...
