Deadly Sin

I don't want to see your name,
Flash up on my phone.
I don't want to see you,
When I close my eyes, alone.
I don't want to hear your voice,
When my back is turned.
I don't want you to need me,
That bridge, you've truly burned.

I don't want to know you're there,
As soon as you enter the room.
I don't want to know you're close,
With a warning scent of your perfume.
I don't want to check you out,
From toe, to foot, to head.
I don't want to be miserable,
That my best friend's in your bed.

I don't want to turn green,
Every time she looks at you.
I don't want to have to lie,
But you asked me to.
I don't want to want you anymore,
I fucked up, and slammed shut that door.
I don't want to think of your touch,
When my girl's doing the same, like you, so much.

I don't want to feel the tear,
The only one I let go.
I don't want to hurt anyone,
This isn't my show.
I don't want to be on the edge,
On the outside looking in.
I just want to go back in time,
And take back us, the amalgamation of the 7 Deadly Sins.
