Most people call writing what first comes to mind "off the top of your head." Not me. I write what I fondly refer to as "brain scoopings" -- reaching into the bottom of my skull for all the black mush of stress, anxiety, and living in general and throw it at a paper as hard as I possibly can, hoping it forms into something legible. Maybe something that someone somewhere will enjoy or even understand.
"And even though I feel all alone
This feeling that's within me fills me with the hope
That one day
This pain will go away
The shame will cease to be
And nothing will ever be like before"
