Inner Child

I am as a child lost in the forest
walking under the scary sounds
of rustling leaves without the light
the sounds as ghosts floating around

I cringe fearful as the woods whispers
as if they are sharing secrets
with unseen scary night creatures
that only walk in the dark of night

I feel like I stumble on a fairy ring
when the moon shines through brightly
the beauty around me seems to sing
dancing around with happy glee

I say a prayer for the child
lost within the age of mine
