A year ago today, you came
With tender care, understanding and
A willingness to listen
In those moments your  
Thoughts touched mine and  
You stole my mind away
 
On an early Spring morning you came
Teaching me things I had never known
Igniting a fire I cannot put out
Embedding your name beneath my skin
You left with more than you came with
You stole my heart away
 
Every day you came, you come still
With care, with actions, with appreciation
You are the sunshine in my days  
My never ending and tireless lover
You did not steal my soul away
I gave it to you gladly
