In-Between
In the early pre-dawn light
As my body spoons to yours
My hand moves of its own accord
Skimming your skin
Sending signals to my sleepy brain
Bypassing thoughts and yet eliciting bodily reactions
In that quiet and blanketed darkness
I feel your drowsy acknowledgement
As your body too, lets your slumbering mind sleep
Let me slip between your dreams
Dance with me in those in-betweens
Let me hold your naked need
Take my offered gift to tip and lip
Soft as angels wings while still slumbering
Let me cradle you in your open desire
And drift with you in our mutual fire
Until once more we sleep
Wrapped together in rumpled sheets
As my body spoons to yours
My hand moves of its own accord
Skimming your skin
Sending signals to my sleepy brain
Bypassing thoughts and yet eliciting bodily reactions
In that quiet and blanketed darkness
I feel your drowsy acknowledgement
As your body too, lets your slumbering mind sleep
Let me slip between your dreams
Dance with me in those in-betweens
Let me hold your naked need
Take my offered gift to tip and lip
Soft as angels wings while still slumbering
Let me cradle you in your open desire
And drift with you in our mutual fire
Until once more we sleep
Wrapped together in rumpled sheets
