Deep Under Fantaseas

Often
my fantaseas are storm tossed

followed by a languid, turquoise calm

My fantaseas
have untold depths
where undiscovered victors swim
where no light penetrates
yet radiant sensual warmth surrounds

With ever-newfound clarity
visions crystallize
and sparkle
like fierce August sunshine
striking breakers
straining for the shore

If the fantaseas
in which I effortlessly glide
in which
underwater
I breathe most calmly
should ever evaporate
and dry up

I will drown.

Author's Note
I was going to title this Fanta Seas, but that sounded too much like an ocean of orange soda. Sticky.
