What I’ve Learned From Writing
writing is a reminder
that i am alive
because it was awarded to me
i must earn life
it is a gift and a privilege
(not a right)
because it has favored me
life asks for rewards
although writing cannot
(as i wish it could) rescue us
from wars hardship envy greed
old age or death
it revitalizes
amidst it all
