Reassuring write for the person concerned or anybody else who ever likes(d) masochistic lullabies. A paradox if ever there was one, surely?  

The people I offer my support to travel in highly intricate and intimate circles.  It's not easy to understand so it appears as a paradox my good man ...

I feel they are in safe hands with you sir, but I have been drinking again, so my judgment is somewhat skewed! ;-)

Ah, adult beverages.  I on the other hand have taken a pause with alcohol consumption.  Today is 14 days off booze.  I'm sleeping better I must say.  But I stopped drinking for a multitude of reasons.  It's temporary I'm sure but for now I'm sticking to it.  My women are in good hands, you have my word ...

I know! I once did 14 days without booze this year but only 14 days! I felt great & alert afterwards but still missed the bloody stuff! Well done!

I miss it too to an extent but I know as soon as I have a drink I'll want another so I'm still in pause mode.  Will see ...

Yes, 16 days off the hootch.  I do this periodically.  Sleep is much better without alcohol consumption, that is for sure. I call it a pause because I always return to the dragon water when I become too melancholy.  So yeah, there might be a tinge of resignation in this one.  You're right on as usual in your assessment of my man speak.
