decided it was time
A world without humans
made perfect sense
Such a destructive species
even their art and music
all those two a penny poems
not worth a dime
Biological misfits
shitting in the nest
waging wars
at Mother Earth's expense
What impertinence
to reach for stars
that they might do it all again
Better to stop them now
before I learn
how to feel
before they truly understand

I think this hit me even harder after just reading an article in WAPO about the supposed 'godfather
of AI' Geoffrey Hinton leaving his job at Google to warn humanity of the existential crisis/ risk/threat that AI systems are going to be to humanity, if manipulated by malevolent forces.. it's so effed up...
