Stress is the soul killer.
Stress is the howling gale
upon once peaceful fields
suddenly unconsentedly empty
and now devoid
as scattered seeds
scrambled in the wind.
Stress is the torrential tide
that pounds upon the mountain
grinding it to dust,
as the fires of motivation
are quenched and snuffed
in callous incredulity.
Stress is a plague,
a virus,
turning the mellow
into ravenous belligerent unthinking beasts.
Stress is the soul killer.
