My Demons
My demons claw at my skin and drag me down,
I’m screaming so loudly,
Why can’t you hear the sound?
Broken dreams shattered like a mirror,
My tears are flowing freely,
And I’m choking on my own fear.
Nobody will save me,
Because nobody cares do they?
Can they even see me?
Hands grip and pull my this way and that,
And the voices in my mind laugh and mock at me,
Biting and cruel words with no tact.
Please don’t tug me down to Hell,
Please don’t force my painful thoughts out,
I have no memories I wish to tell.
I am breaking apart as my demons tug me,
And the shattered mirror of who I once was,
Reflected everything I once wanted to be.
I’m screaming so loudly,
Why can’t you hear the sound?
Broken dreams shattered like a mirror,
My tears are flowing freely,
And I’m choking on my own fear.
Nobody will save me,
Because nobody cares do they?
Can they even see me?
Hands grip and pull my this way and that,
And the voices in my mind laugh and mock at me,
Biting and cruel words with no tact.
Please don’t tug me down to Hell,
Please don’t force my painful thoughts out,
I have no memories I wish to tell.
I am breaking apart as my demons tug me,
And the shattered mirror of who I once was,
Reflected everything I once wanted to be.
