United Snakes
You think you see
a shadow in me,
a chimera ready to pounce:
you're staring
at your own reflection.
The atoms of your hatred
poisoned the stream
of trust and truth;
my father drank
from your hands.
Half of him died.
You killed it.
You know nothing
of the night
that fills my mouth,
the cold hand
I've been dealt.
None of you care.
I might become
a statue of salt,
yet, I won't be the one
to cast the stone:
the armies of guilt
and remorse
will rape your hypocrisy.
There'll be
no truce.
Time will
send the bill
and
you
will
pay.
