Do Animals Sin?
Does he think of her when
my breath brushes over him?
I see her eyes when I kiss the same
flesh her lips have known.
I feel a cold trimmer in my chest as
we cross the lines of fidelity,
certain of tsunamis to follow.
At the moment of his entering,
my eyes drift up to ask,

My fear of mother's absence led me to seek affection from another married man. This has become a pattern in my life. I remember mother saying married men were simpler sometimes because they weren't seeking a bride, then she gave a mischievous smile.

To answer your question, yes and no.
Humans who are devout in faith may sin.
Your average bear that shits in the woods does not sin.
As for your poem in a non-literal sense, I love it. It's full of passion and it gives life to the questions that we often ask ourselves in our daily lives. And yes, it is easier to love someone when you go in knowing their intentions. Well done!

Oh, you grabbed me with this. Since the human animal was "blessed" with a conscience, I suppose we're quite good at it. Love the line, "cross the lines of fidelity."

I would answer the question by saying animals have weaknesses too depending on the species. Animal behaviour is usually dictated by need for food, sense of violated territory, need to defend themselves or their young, need to mate when in season.. Some species mate for life, some are polygamous so notions of monogamy or fidelity might be alien to them..Unneutered stray dogs and cats will promiscuously mate with any unguarded female cat or dog, hence the existence of feral packs.
