Eulogy
Is the pastorale still
In style somewhere?
Something bucolic to enjoy
An escape to an enormous field
Of greenery
Where sheep graze contendedly
Where bunnies hop everywhere
Sooooooooooo happily
Where bees whizz by
And work work work
While we sit on the grass
And just enjoy the view
The earth awakening
Blue skies all over
Barely a cottony white cloud far away
A eulogy to life.

Postmodernism killed pastoral… didn’t just kill it, covered it in a blanket and beat it to death with bleeding eyes and nightmares
But this was fucking delightful. Just need verdant leaves wafting in the fragrant summer breeze and you’ve hit all the marks.
Really pretty stuff. It’s good to know someone still does pastorals.

I must say that further down the road outlook on life has a different view, something more in depth that the observations become poetic and epic.
