I close down rejected utterly
in the misfit rain I am kept warm
a place of security
even if it's in obscurity

pain go easy on me
I'm hurting deep inside
people don't like me

what am I supposed to do with that?

I hide my feelings of sadness
collecting each affliction in a book
I keep diary of my days feeling adrift
then I shelter within

I take sanctuary in my sacred halls
