the night stars are
really just God's
tears
he has cried so
long
so hard
and so very
much
because of what
we have done
because of what
we have become
sometimes I wonder
if the old man
doesn't
need a
hug
to help him make
it through the
day

I'd never thought of that before! Our hugs would feel like annoying little tickles or something, but I presume he'd appreciate them anyway.
