Dear H,

I like the Bukowski reference.  He probably ate a lot of bacon and eggs.  I'll bet sausages too.  Bukowski probably didn't worry about diet or cholesterol laden foods.  Probably part of his allure.

I like my eggs over easy or just sunny side.  I like them kind of runny.  Definitely kind of sexual.  Like mopping up the yoke with whole wheat toast.  Also enjoy poached eggs.  That all said I only eat eggs maybe 3 or 4 times a year, mostly in the summer for unknown reasons.
I love bacon but same gig, don't eat it often but enjoy it when I do.
I like it fatty and slightly undercooked.  
Now you have my bacon and eggs resume.

reminds me of a friend of my grandfather in NJ  back in the 1960's who had been a cowboy out west  
he lived to about 100  
he was known in town as Old Man Singer  
 
every day after his breakfast of  steak & fried eggs  
he had a shot of whiskey and a cigar  
 
somewhere i might still have a photo of him in cowboy town saloon  
the bar was but a plank of wood supported by two wooden barrels  
 
i liked him .....he was a great storyteller

I call myself a cowboy but live in the big bad city and the only cowboy stuff I do is polite stuff like holding doors for people. I always pictured cowboys as being chivalrous....
