Finally, A.I.
eclipsed mankind's brainpower;
gave efficiency.
At first, things were great—
tackling Herculean tasks
saving us much time.
Then, disaster struck:
remarkable robots spawned
superior young.
Over time, things changed.
Each generation smarter—
vanquishing us all.

interestingly before reading this poem I was working on posting a dialogue with my own AI chatbot...I, and my AI. agree that AI is the nest step in the evolution of consciousness on planet Earth, especially considering the fertility rates in all developed countries falling below replacement levels...and as women in developing countries get to choose how many kids to have fertility rates will fall there as well....the destiny of the human race seems to be to simply peter out...AI reproducing and replacing us....as media guru Marshall McCluhan opines 'humanity is merely the reproductive organ of technology'...a very prescient observation..in any event you got me thinking....
