3 Gallon Club
I like to watch the needle go in
My left arm has a nice big vein
And when it penetrates my skin
The red matter begins to drain
It goes through a tube into a small pouch
Which then filters through into a bigger bag
And as I lay there on that reclining couch
I watch the machine curiously as it wags
The milliliters seem to go up pretty fast
I guess you can you I’m a daft bleeder
I filled up a bag in just under six minutes
It’s not a race but I usually very eager
I squeeze the sponge ball to help along
Watching my blood flow steady and quick
Next thing I’m done before a rock song
The whole process felt like a magic trick
They walk away with the red matter
Twenty-four trips and I feel like blood stud
But I do hope that it helps someone soon
Today I humbly joined the three gallon club
