To Feed a Vampire
You come seeking me when you're lonely
Don't pretend otherwise because I know
It's perfectly alright to keep coming to my door
When your chest aches and you need love
You know the knock and words to say
I'm your friend, always and forever
I said once that I'd always be here
There's never been a time I've turned you away
And here I am to catch your teeth in my flesh once more
So let me cut my arm open for you
So that you might have a good meal
You don't treat me like fast food at least
You're a hero now and few people know
That dark look in your eyes and what it means
But come in, my vampire friend, and have your meal
And I no longer stiffle tears as you go
Because we both know... That when your heart aches
And you feel all alone that you know the knock and words to say
And that as long as I breathe Id never turn you away
