Latley I've been feeling Homesick for a place I can feel safe in my skin.
Words are your favorite weapons to use.
Simply because it's invisible abuse.
A perfect way to leave your mark.
Leaving behind only mental scars.

Words are your favorite weapons to use...what an excellent definition of verbal abuse. It makes me think how the wrong words will stay with me forever. No matter how I try to purge them. I always find your poems so relatable. Another fine write. H 🌷

Just wow Meganne, this one really hit deep. I have said I just wish you would hit me because it's easier. Especially when someone says you are beautiful and in the next breath tells you are worthless. Mental abuse is much worse to me. Words of destruction I understand so well. You really know how to communicate something so powerful with few words. That comes from the heart and soul. You are beautiful and you deserve to feel that despite the scars.
