Image for the poem the power of Adonai

the power of Adonai

my garden reverie disturbed
I am voiceless
morning walks spent in wonderment of the day...gone
I grieve deep within me for his absence

inside me I know he is patiently there observing
but I am in need of his voice
I desire his company

on windy days it was thrilling
praying he didn't drop a eucalypts branch on me
wandering through the orchards looking at everything in bloom

it was a game we played
I would run as fast as I could down the row of trees
I felt his power

we would discuss all manner of things and I would know his feelings
wrapped up with my own responding to each other
a beautiful morning for me
was praying God didn't dash me with a tree

you might think me odd but...

there are storm chasers out there who know the nature of our maker
he is very playful
if you seek his company you will find it

he is electric
