infidelity

suspicion lies in my heart
does he love me or is it show?
he loves me, he loves me not
what does a flower know?

I see his arrogance
he's strutting around like a peacock
someone new has been flirting with him and he likes it
I've known him long enough to know when he's full of himself
I brush it off as harmless

a casual flirting from a stranger or more?
is he laying down a foundation?
building trust in a woman, then ask her out?

I don't like feeling this way
and maybe I've taken him for granted
but I honestly love him with my soul

I'm too comfortable for him to get rid of
without the guarantee of something better
we're too old to be playing games
he'll have to have his ducks in a row
before he steps out on his own

he love me, he loves me not
what does a flower know?
