The blue hour
... ... ...
The blue hour
Twilight
The approaching evening
The scattering of peace
No www
No cell phone
No TV ... No radio
The brightness of the sky
Within me...
Between me and...
The brightness of streetlights
Between me and...
The blue shades
It is like a cultural change
Now I am so familiar...
With the nuances of my brain

Re. The blue hour
Some of my absolute favorite time of day... In my head I call it "Blue-thirty" when that tinge of blue permeates in the morning, especially... That stillness it brings ... Man, you captured it so extremely well, Marks!
I sincerely enjoyed this in it's entirety.
Thanks for sharing with us 🙏
I hope you are well :)

You're very welcome, Marks
I am still smiling wide that someone else appreciates that particular fleeting time of day... This one really did hit a bit of a nerve!
Much love and well wishes ✨

Hi Marks-- just a quick note here-- any media/videos/pictures you use with your writing , must be your own creation, per DUP guidelines, so we don't venture into copyright areas. What you publish/post under your account, is being credited to you, as having created it. You can, however, still post videos & artwork created by others, but it needs a disclaimer in your author's note section, giving credit to whoever did create what you are posting to go with your writing, as inspiration, etc. Thanks !

The songs I use are like *poem soundtracks*.
And the images I use illustrate *my poetry*.
What a pity...
OK, MadameLavender, I won't venture into copyriight areas anymore.

You can certainly use them, but put a line in your notes, who it belongs to or who created it-- that way we don't get in trouble as a website 🙂

I love the blue hour... the transition from day to night. When my senses no longer have to be bombarded by the light and can settle in the peace of darkness. The street lights, the gentle breeze, and the escape from technology that infiltrates everything these days. I really loved this escape into the blue hour with you Marks. It is so calming...

Thank you, PoetWarrior.
I googled *Rupi Kaur*, the Indian / Canadian poet, illustrator, photographer, and author.

There’s a sweet and calming loneliness to the mood of this one that I rather like, simply but effectively rendered.
