Illicit tube confiscated
TV’s back panel
by keyed-lock secured
Sisters obsessed
with romance banal
by Dad’s new measures
could not be deterred
Asked again
to aid their defiance
My role in their plan,
Second story man
The key to their bliss
Was in parent’s bedroom locked
Along with english tea and taffy cookies
With cat-like dexterity
I climbed on the roof,
scampered across wood shingles
to mom and dad’s window
Hidden behind tall elm tree
screen removed,
window pane slid open
The key from dad’s desk securing
My pockets with cookies filling
My part over
Big sister took over
Hopped into her Capri
Off to copy a key.
