Clock
Glowing numbers, 12:01am
I saw the clock at my bedside
While you were above me
With my body trembling
From the force of you
The sweat in my eyes
As I tried to blink
Made me look over
While my hands and heart were bound
In the shackles you put them in
I saw the clock at my bedside
While you were above me
With my body trembling
From the force of you
The sweat in my eyes
As I tried to blink
Made me look over
While my hands and heart were bound
In the shackles you put them in

tick tock...
the glowing of your clock...
left thinking,
wondering,
how would the minutes, patiently multiply
exacerbating, in a good way
exhilarating, more over do your words say.

I’ve read your reply a number of times, each time I check my work for what I could have done better. I love that you were inspired to pen. It’s beautiful…I’m not a patient girl but your write makes me think that should be an option! Thank you for reading.

i thought your work was great.
i enjoyed reading...
i used the word patiently because...
you were bound....as you looked at the clock...
where were you to go...? ha
so patiently...yes, that could be an option.

We only realize what the time is when we're having fun (I hope you were).

Without realizing it at times we want to mentally document certain moments in history. Tight
