Sweet Sweet Dreams

Sweet Sweet Dreams

Before I begin
Another demented night
I'd like to take you all
On a tour, not the physical kind
But more of a trip through
Both of the vast wasteland
And the Amazon forest of my mind
Being the creature of self-discovery
I travelled down that yellow brick road
Fell down that rabid rabbit hole
Woke up in a matrix of confusion
So many untravelled sites to explore
I ventured through them
Not sure if I got them all
My dammed soul kept
Me crawling back to a part
I'd rather not have found
This cavern had that big red sign
Enter at the risk
Of forfitting your soul
Being a fool of epic porpotions
I laughed like a hyena
And danced like a lunatic
I spit in the face of the devil
And took my last walk as a sane person
Insanity of swirling squares
Colours of pure black and white
Clowns with cloven hooves
Angels with tails and horns
Arch angels with golden wings
Fire breathing goats rampaging
I stumble on through this quagmire of unreality
I fall up through the entry sign
Woke in my bed covered in sweat
Just another typical nights sleep for me

Author's Note
This is weird, not just the poem, but I had something completely different in mind when I started this, even had the title typed, but then it took a turn and I ended up with this, totally not what I had in mind at all.
