''You're a pig'' she said
With a smile on her face
As she was gently stroking his hair
And just as he was into a lovely muff dive.
Raising his head for a bit of breath,
''No, darling, I am not.
I only have the heart of one''.

From LADbible, by Stewart Perrie, Jan 11. Doctor at University of Maryland Medical have transplanted the heart of a pig into David Bennet, 57 years old.
So we love to eat ham and bacon. Does that now make us cannibals?

There's an old wives tale from the middle east, where some dude cursed God and said he wasn't real and God turned them into pigs. Funny how old things like that have some truth to it, a pigs skin sun burns like ours, his heart and valves will work in our bodies, same kind of digestion track. It's all weird.

Indeed. PS: a technical company was also used, stuff having to do with DNA making sure the rejection possibilities were near zero. Fascinatring all the advances made. On another case, doctors in another hospital (see my poem (No heart), doctors removed the heart of a man who did not have much longer to live and replaced it with 2 tubes of their own making. 12 hours on the man was still breathing nicely....

Ya. Amazing how fast things are moving in the medical world. That and robots. Will the two eventually merge? Ok: just asking....imagine a robot with one of those mechanical hearts. i sense a short story here: I'll work on that. Regards, Robert.
