I feel again
Numb isn’t what I want
No,
I want my heart to beat harder
and faster from fantasies of you
I want my face to flush with dreams
I want to ache with longing
and feel that hollowness of missing
Of course, I’d rather feel embrace
I’d love to feel affection ricocheted.
Feel loved, desired…Yes,
how perfect that would be
But in its absence, please don’t fix me
By dampening emotions
Still let me feel
