Aquarius Gypsy
Need to take a dive
Into a past life
So I'm taking a swim with
the Aquarius Gypsy
So she can unlock her
Crystal water ball
Part the sea of me
Peer into the water sides
Of ripples and laps
Past mistakes made
Scribbled on my
Endless water wall
Help me avoid the drown
Because I'm feeling lost
Inside my thoughts
Need a fast forward
My future's mystery
So I'm sitting down with
The Aquarius Gypsy
Take my hand with your
Painted garnet fingertips
Feel the letters of my
Creased page life line
The book on my palm
It's your braille
Take your time
Need to understand
Upcoming stories
Of my hand
Tonight we're dancing
Around bonfire light
With crowns of
Scarlet head scarves
Showered with stars
Tank top T-shirts
Bohemian skirts
Reflections in our eyes
From the bright fire light
As we dance around
Inside the midnight
Enjoying the travel
With my sister pixie
A present legend
the Aquarius Gypsy
Into a past life
So I'm taking a swim with

Crystal water ball
Part the sea of me

Also a fan!
This has a melody to it just like music and the transitions from the past, future and present are beautifully sung here!

how could you not go wrong with being inspired by Stevie Nicks.
i too notice the past, future and present. thought Jacob Marley and Ebenezer Scrooge were going to jump out...since we are going in to Christmas.haha, joking.
Aquarius Gypsy how appropriate.
you do fit that bill.
your words are always well written and inspiring.
to imagine you around the fire spinning...
gypsy scarves and sparks a flying.
thank you for sharing this piece.

Very nicely written , Adelphina...
And yes , Stevie Nicks...A very talented singer , and though she claims she is not , she is a Witch ,
and puts that energy into her music , as well dance , and acting ;
You saw her , of course in her appearances on American Horror Story ?
Yet , again , your poem fit the feel !
( Not of the program , yet her )

Thank you so much!!!

I had to go listen to the song, loved it. And I loved the depth of this poem swimming, sitting, and dancing around the fire with the Aquarius Gypsy. :) The immersive imagery is great... Peering into the water and the water wall, being lost in your thoughts and perhaps the past. And the stories unfolding along the life line on your palm that tell of things in the future. And dancing around the bonfire and enjoying life in the now. You are definitely a legend Bonita. Your writing is always so original and amazing. I love the past, future, present aspects along with the elements of earth, fire, water. Another spectacular write.

Hey R-54
So glad you enjoyed my poem. I have been on a Stevie Nicks
revival in my car for the past few days. LOL
I listened to Silver Spring, Rhiannon and Dreams all week.
Today is Wednesday so hopefully it will fade out by Friday so I can actually write about something else.
So lucky you got to see her in concert!! A little jealous but that's ok.
I'll live:)

Re. Aquarius Gypsy
I like this poem of yours a great deal! It evokes so much, and more than just elements inspired by a great song too. It has a certain visionary quality to it, with enough surreal aspects to make things interesting. There is a strongly Pagan vibe to it all, which I adore, being Pagan myself! I like how this goes way beyond the typical associations people have with all things that are gypsy-related, and it explores a more subtle magical side to things. The reference to reincarnation in the beginning also spoke to me quite well. It is a great poetic work you've crafted here, and one I will definitely read again when time permits! Love it. :D

Awesome!!!!
I'm an Aquarius and felt the need to expand on it. LOL
Never met a real Pagan - I'm so happy to meet you.
I'm more of a spiritual person myself. Was raised Catholic but
it just didn't sit well with me. I tend to keep the good and let go of all the judgmental aspects of all religion.
You should practice feeds your spirit. As long is you don't hurt anyone and it empowers your soul - more power to you:)
Thanks for your snaps on my stuff!!!
Love the red head scarf - not sure what the proper term is for that. lol Great sense of style!!!

I'm an Aries born on the cusp of Pisces, myself, a literal mix of fire and water in that way. It is good to meet you, as well! I was fully ordained as a Master/Mistress of Wicca, in addition to being a Gnostic High Priest/Priestess. My mother was Catholic all her life, actually, and did as you do... tossed out the judgmental stuff and kept what counts. My family actually had quite the rather unique assortment of faiths within it! My grandmother was a Methodist Reverend, one of my uncles was a Mormon priest, another uncle dabbled in Druidry, and one of my aunts was Pentacostal (she was kind of loony though and liked to drive up to the mountain every time she thought the Rapture was coming, which was silly). My female cousin dabbled a lot in Wicca, and my grandmother studied everything including Wicca (she actually had books by the famous British occultists Aleister Crowley that she liked to read) before she decided to become a Reverend. My brother was not necessarily the religious type, but he was very mindful of the spiritual and mystical side of things in life, and like me he believed in reincarnation very strongly. Something my grandmother did likewise, though she often told us she felt at odds with her Christian beliefs due to how much she knew about the more Pagan side of things she used to believe in, and how much that still rang true to her. She and my brother were actually the two I could be most open about my beliefs to and have meaningful conversations about them with. So, it made for a very interesting life growing up, I must say! Glad you like my style!!! The headpiece in my photo is actually not a scarf but beaded. More like a cap or a wig but made from red beads. I also have a silver one, a gold one, and even a black one. I do tend to have a rather unique sense of style that is uniquely me. And I never do fail to get lots of compliments on my outfits when I go out. I wear a lot of harem-style pants, crop tops and tube tubes, and long flowing maxi dresses. Shorter ones in the summer though! Likewise, I tend to express myself uniquely with my makeup and jewelry. To me, it is all like my art and my poetry... aspects of how I express myself and reveal things about myself to people in a creative sort of way that just works for me.

oh oh oh - we will be besties!!!
I feel the same way. I have a great connection to all of my clothes. I'm a screenwriter on the side. Nothing sold....yet!! hahahah
I tend to look at some of my clothes as costumes. They are me but also some of the characters I write about. Helps me make a better connection when writing. It's just such fun fantasy to play dress up with everything. Love make up and messing with my hair. I want one of those scarves with rhinestones!!! hahah

I actually bought several costumes that I later ended up wearing as regular clothes because they were too nice for just one occasion. One was a dress that was based on the one that Artemisia wore in the 300: Rise of an Empire movie (I even got a long black wig to go with it, and I made a very convincing Artemisia as a result!), and another was a Japanese Shrine Maiden outfit that again I wore with a long black wig, and it looked spot on perfect on me. I actually had people asking me if I was part Japanese as a result. I am not, but I am part Native American from my grandmother's side of the family and since many Native American tribes originally came over from Asia to start with... they were close with thinking that about me. The three tribes that comprise that part of my blood are Cherokee, Chippewa, and Shoshone. Something I have always been proud of! You'd love all of my photos over on DeviantArt... I dressed up as Effie Trinket from The Hunger Games in one of them, as Poison and Roxy from the Street Fighter video games in another, and I even did one in which I portrayed myself as Juda from Fist of the North Star. My most recent ones were of me as a Dark Lady of the Sith from Star Wars, with a look similar to Asajj Ventress. I used very realistic and convincing special effects for the Lightsaber's blade in those too, along with lightning effects that looked very cool. I shave my head, so for me I do a lot with wigs and headpieces when I want to sport a unique look. I am lucky that I look good with a shaved head, since there was one cousin of mine that looked positively awful when he shaved his. Then again, he won no beauty contests before that either! Lol. I get all my wigs and headpieces on Amazon.com so if you want to look for a rhinestone one that would be the place to check, though they typically have them more towards Halloween. I get most of my clothes on that site, and on Etsy as well. When I go out, I sometimes have people ask me where I get them, so that is what I always tell them. Hey, keep in practice with the screenwriting and who knows you might be famous one day! That would be totally awesome. But even if not, if it is something you enjoy doing then it is never time wasted, I always say! Always do what you love. :D
