Forgiving oneself

As years go by I understand
That all the failures helped me stand
They built me up and made me strong
They helped me know what’s right from wrong
As years go by my eyes they see
That I am perfect just as me
That people talk and let you down
get back up when you hit the ground
As years go by I let things go
For the past is a journey that helped me grow
The mistake I’ve made are part of me
I hold them close they set me free
As years go by, I get it now

Build your bridges, protect your health
