Layer after layer
pulling back the veil
finding more
empty promises
empty words
hiding the rot of the core
traitors or patriots
choose
the false duality of choice
destroys the kaleidoscope
of the mind
fight
to exist
unhindered and free
fight with your soul and spirit
become a warrior
at peace
hate is not freedom
but blinds
chains the mind
controls you
a puppet on a string
three simple rules
to live
free
never trust corporations
never trust the greed
the government is here to help
the cancer of bureaucracy
hold your rights to your heart
and never let them part
exist in the now
fight for the when
but remember the then
past present and future
manifest
within

Author's Note
Everyone one of my friends is fighting as best they can but I find my choices getting smaller and smaller until I have no choices left. Do any of you feel this too? I hate politics and manipulation from both sides of the ideological spectrum, so I'm looking for another way to fight even while acknowledging that the dictatorship of the left is an immediate threat to freedom.

In fighting the best that we can implies that friends limit our actions as friends come first. My way is to be the change I want to see in the world and my fight is with myself to accept what I can't change while advocating for as much personal freedom as possible. Freedom is messy but authoritarianism is a depressing death of spirit. There is no need to agree to disagree as I have you back no matter what. Friendship and your friendship are my truths.
