Let Us Runaway
faith all day to believe in true love
all night strength to not fall for temptation
with so many judging eyes
many pressures in life
feels like I'm going mad
you’re suffering in your own mind
can there just be nothing left to give?
well, can there?
when this war is over
and we fought the good fight
the radio stops playing our favorite songs
holes in our hearts
but I can feel them healing
when all that’s left is us
can we just not give a fuck?
always been you and me against the odds
watched as those other relationships failed
we earned it!… now let us runaway
the darkest of memories still arise
knowing we had our share of nasty fights
at times not knowing if this love would last
weeks went by where we wouldn't talk
but my heart always kept calling
rather forgive and forget
storms rage in
but I’m still here to protect you, baby
when this war is over
