A perfect storm

Silence
is peppered
with sounds
of torrential rain

winds blow a ritual—
panes of windows
chatter their teeth

heavy droplets
pelt the roof,
in continuous wrath
making clear, their intentions

claps of far off thunder
roll in distinct punctuation

faintest sounds
-train whistles-
sing a song
of wandering
dreamy thought

lightning
illuminates the sky,
in random
curt multitudes
lavish kisses
of ozone
perfume the night
in an ethereal
wafture-like abandon

...
a
thunderstorm
waits

perfectly.
