Angel Dog

Even when the Angel girls pulled your tail and tried to ride you like a horse
you took it all in stride, like the Queen you were of course

You were not perfect, like when in late spring you ran away
but, you just went exploring and didn't  stay

You did the same thing the morning when we had the earthquake on my birthday
It was noon when when the phone rang about your return-right when I as about to pray

I will never forget how hurt I was that I thought you were gone
I would have missed you waking up every morning with a yawn

Even when you were bad
at you I couldn't stay mad

Like the time you bit the Thanksgiving turkey
even when you got old you were quirky

You were a comfort when someone around was in pain
your efforts never were in vain

You taught us a lesson about love
and I believe you were sent from heaven above

Today you returned there
please take care

Be a good girl when you meet my Ma
sit and give her your paw

We miss you Sheba Diva Doggie
it is because of you today are faces are soggy
