Dream Well
I do not stand on a cloud tonight.
Rather, I swaddle myself in warmth
And the familiarity of lonely stretches
Legs reaching to the edges of my bed.
Maniacal laughter has given way to sobs,
And tears have silenced into musing.
My eyes subtly burn, piercing the night,
As I give in to the sweet escape of my dreams.
Rather, I swaddle myself in warmth
And the familiarity of lonely stretches
Legs reaching to the edges of my bed.
Maniacal laughter has given way to sobs,
And tears have silenced into musing.
My eyes subtly burn, piercing the night,
As I give in to the sweet escape of my dreams.
