Cult of Personality
What would be more dangerous?
If you knew my address,
birthdate,
various government numbers
You could track me down,
take all my money,
leave me without material comfort,
but you still wouldn’t know
Who
I
Am.
Would it put me at risk to tell you?
I’m Luna Lovegood
Spider Man
Michael Scott
Arwen
Willy Wonka
Captain Kirk
and Qui-Gon Jinn
all rolled into one.
Would it make me vulnerable?
To say I’m also Orange,
a Capricorn,
a Turbulent Campaigner,
an Alchemist,
an Apostle,
an Empath,
and a Sexual Four-wing-Three.
If you know what all that means,
perhaps you could pick apart my psyche,
predict my every move,
know me better than I know myself…
…or so the test-makers would like you to believe.
However,
I just did it --
and I’m really not that scared.

All these tests, iQ's and personalities tests
They all just bS
They can't account for all you are, all they do is predict what could be

Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I've learned some interesting things through these tests but they can never give the whole picture. Like everything, they should be used in moderation!

i always find those personality tests rather strange how they can align with us at times, strangely enough i did the ennegram test a couple of days ago after watching an interview with david fincher who uses the same test and assigns the chatacters numbers while making the actors take the test before roles are delegated out, i ended up with a 4 wing 5 but i guess it's about what people take from them and whether they take it seriously or not, i sort of chuckled at some parts because it was accurate and other parts i was thinking well that's certainly not me 😂
i really enjoyed this exploration of personality tests and how they can't calculate the human side of us and what we do on a daily basis, there was this underlying sass of highlighting how people can become too hung up on myers-briggs and ennegram tests because they're not testaments to who we are as people and your title really hit home about too which gave me a chuckle 😆

I would say in some ways, these tests have made me feel 'seen', and that's not a bad thing... mostly I've found them useful for learning about myself and giving myself space and courage to just be who I am.
Anyway, obviously I find them fun, or I wouldn't know my results to so many of them! 😜 Some folks are pretty zealous about this stuff, though. Glad you had a chuckle reading this... I felt the same way writing it. And thanks for showing this silly little write some love. 💖
