(un)known destinies of words (+Spoken Word)
... they traveled across fields
of such mossy green
being blown along
by the softest breeze
floating higher
and h i g h e r
into skies
bluer than her eyes
when she whispers
and sighs
Ohh, These words
have fought wars
upon wars
and have seen
those scars,
the kind
with lasting memories
of the weary
and wicked
the battle torn
and the righteous hordes
of all those
not as lucky as I
Yes, These words—
show their character and gumption
in a respected struggle
to find strength
from the corners of darkness
then drag it, if need be
with power from millennia earned
towards the palest light
of wonderment
Finally,
These words
that made their way
from the very bang
of the biggest sort,
as precious commodities
that God herself cradled
and out of the mouths of babes
they are brought forth—
[my not so impervious heart
weakens and contracts]
as these
words...

Thanks Jackie,
I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and the honour of your list add... I took my time with this one because I'm unsure about it -- I was hesitant to post, which that particular anxiety still weighs deeply .... so my gratitude runs deep.
I'm glad you enjoyed it
It's always such a pleasure seeing you on my page!!
Much love and respect,

It's not always a bad thing to be 'unsure' Blue. Remember, when Monsieur Eiffel built his tower, a lot of people initially didn't like it.

Re: Re. (un)known destinies of words (+Spoken Word)
It's constant with me, that 'unsure' feeling, the only thing that usually changes are the varying levels of uncertainty. I'm an ongoing work in progress.....
I do appreciate what you are saying and I thank you for that reminder!
I'm so grateful that you shared your thoughts, my friend

Dear BV,
I know these feelings of being unsure and second guessing myself. From morning to night and then I realize the day is done and I made it, so it wasn’t all bad. This write is reflective of “sure” feelings. Those are real and won’t be put in a box. It was brave and wise to put them out there for the universe to hear and process for you. I thought this was another wonderful BluWrite and I very much enjoyed the audio. Speaking the poems adds another layer that gets lost sometimes when reading it on my own. Especially when I’m reading it on my own! Lovely and well done! H 🌷

Dear H,
Thank you for the solidarity of uncertainty. I am getting better at being more positive and instead of a 'doomsday' wallower.. lol .. yet like I said, I'm a continuous work in progress. I'm extremely grateful for your kind words in ref to my poem, the SW and the generous list add. Eventually, I'll get up to speed, is my hope! You're a bright motivator, my friend and I am so happy you stopped by :)
PS - Your poems for NaPoWriMo are just amazing,
showing what a superstar you are! ✨ 🌟 ✨
Much love and respect,

I am veritably sapiosexually aroused by this piece and your splendid reading thereof, Lady blue❣️🙏🌹
The way you personify and ascribe power to words is apparent throughout but especially in the beautiful stanza beginning with...
"Yes, These words—
show their character and gumption "
Gumption is such a fun kinda Willy Wonkaesque word to say
Bravissima sweet as honey BB🐻👅🍯

I am extremely extremely grateful for your kind words, as it's taken a lot of my energy to just ignore this post because I want to yank it off and hide it away... Uggh.. lol!! I wish my mind would give me a bit of an effing break somedays and let me just feel like it's enough... like I'm enough. Alas,
my hopes for clarity and self understanding , slip to tomorrow. Much thanks for the RL add and all your BB thoughtfulness. (I hope Willy Wonka sounding / reminding is a good thing!?! I think of Gene Wilder and even though that performance was brilliant, it's also quite creepy). hahaha... 😂
Always a pleasure, 🙏 🐻

I am awestruck. I first listened to your audio version. Your voice was so perfect for the poem. The music in the background complemented your reading perfectly. It felt like an epic tale of love that unfolded powerfully and beautifully that I never wanted to end. Then I read your words. So gorgeous and profound. You put philosophy into your verse and it brings it home all the more.

Now I am the one who's awestruck!
You've managed to reset my entire evenings outlook with your lovely comments. I say that because I was so down about this piece, not really feeling it. I hid it and then published it, several times, due to lack of confidence. So, your unknown reassurance is just so very heartening. I thank you so much for your thoughts and opinions, John. It really means a lot to me. I am appreciative of the generous list add as well.
I am so grateful for you and all your kindness.
Much love and respect,

Your voice propelled this piece into my inner cosmos and touched on everything from war to love. This is a winner all the way. It read with passion and profundity that took me into a high level of profundity than I've felt in a long time. I thank you for making the decision to put this out for people like me to feel and see.
