Disappearing Ink
My ink had barely returned
when she slipped quietly out the back
Yet again, yet again...
She deafens me with her silence.

I found a journal from 2003 this week and I talk about how it had been five years!.. glad my quiet spells are counted in days and months at this stage, not years!!! 💜, R.

The muse is indeed a fickle being, Rachelle. Keep going! She will meet you there. . .

Thank you—it means a lot... time and a place, and just keep going... reading Mary Oliver’s Upstream right now, and she inspires to keep at it even when it feels like hard work!.. 💜💜💜

I would have thought of it as writer's block but it sounds like it's got wanderlust and won't sit still.
Thought provoking write.

Oh, yes. Very familiar to us all here, I think. At the moment, I have a compulsive need to write. The more I do it, the more I need to do it. When going fast (a couple of poems a day) I tend to think I'm probably just writing total shite, but am sometimes pleasantly surprised when I come back to it later. NaPo was definitely good for getting me in the habit of writing, regardless of the quality.

Thanks, Ellie. That is a good idea. I will start doing those contests to just force the ink!… love it, and appreciate you sharing! 💜💜
