People forget that we are all real hearts and minds and people behind these screens all too easily. I think people also need to remember the value of the emotions that are on display and honour that wherever possible, really.

As for NoPoo... brilliant. There’s been some absolute crackers on there. Probably my favourite thread at the moment. It’s just nice to focus on poetry everyday.

More of that, indeed :)

I agreed about the #Nopoo forum, it's my breath of fresh air on days that I might need an attitude adjustment, for whatever is ailing. It's the best decision I made being here at DU ... to start posting daily on the thread, if I could. I think I started around the 12th of Nov and I try my best to post every day.  It's opened me up to new people, ideas, formats and increased my creativity.. For some reason I feel more creative when I'm there. Weird, I know....yet it's true. lol... go figure? 🤷🏻‍♀️    
 
I'm so glad you enjoyed my spur of the moment, write... and found it resonated something similar. I'm a sensitive soul, so I often think it's just my own inner workings that get bruises a bit too easy. I could stand to do with a tad toughening up! 😂... hahaha.

I think I'm mostly able to hold my own, yet deep down (maybe where I might mask it a bit) I feel so deeply, making me perhaps a teenie bit more sensitive than what I might portray(maybe you're similar?) .... I work on being a bit tougher sometimes , but I'm mostly ok with it because I think it's a good thing like 85% of the time... lmao!!... 😂... it's when that 15% is targeted ... Yeowza!.. Not sure what you're trying to convey in the last verse there, Blue, other than something about having self belief?

I was meaning that the person behind the words you read , that they're more real, or CAN be more real, even being an avatar and typed words ... then anyone else a reader may have met previously...  

that's how I see that line but I think everything is subjective, in poetry....

Truth, honesty, or positive maybe the oldest force in existence. Even within the darkness it may have been the original to all that is or was. With the seed of negativity, the big bang, maybe genesis, the first lie, or anything negative in the sense of against pureness. this created choice and with choice, nothing is a for sure conclusion. Dearest Blue, that first stanza is awesome and made feel some sapiosexual tingles. Poets, like the rest of humankind, are like oceans. We see only the calm or turbulence on the surface but can't see the life and death, beauty and ugliness that lies beneath...and we certainly can't gauge yhe depth. Thank you gor the think 🙏🐻💋🐰🐻

Your beautiful words of analogy are so important, and insightful, BB. You shine a light on a way of looking at things that really hadn't occurred to me before. Not being able to see the actual meat and potatoes of someone, only the surface and what's safely viewable /accessible. The real depth and thus the minutia or one's complexities that make up the heart of another, laying solely within themselves. Maybe it's the times when we get little peeks of that usually vulnerable and well hidden minutia, that keep me so addicted to reading poetry, to begin with. I LOVE that feeling ....
