Little Sick Girl Lessons 1
When I was little I ended up in the hospital
I don't know why I was there but I was
Odd to thing about it looking back from this point
My little body stranded in that big of a bed
I remember holding on to my stuffed bunny
Wishing that someone would come be there
I remember crawling out of that giant bed
The ivy line trailing behind me as I pushed the iv stand
My rabbit held by her ears by my small hand
I walked up to the nurses station that I could barely see over
And I asked if someone could come play to me
The nurse had to bend forward to even see me
And she had such a sour face, wrinkled with stress I'm sure
She told me that they were too busy to play
And to go back to my room and sleep
I nodded and went back to my room
Not sure how I managed but I got myself into bed
I cried and I cried having never been this alone before
I didn't see a nurse until the following morning
And I never asked for anything again they were busy
