Have you been to the great plains
To see the cracked earth

Pops out little flowers?
Those black cloud

I loved the images that popped in my head while reading this delightful write. I’ve never been to the Great Plains but it was clear in my head what it should look like. And your closing stanza is one of my favorite nature experiences.

I haven't been to the great plains, no. But, I have lived in the Southwest and the desert was the same way after a rain. It's a beautiful sight to behold. Thank you for this.
